Terms of use
Last updated: 29 July 2026
Purpose
These terms govern access to the website, user accounts and free or paid En Quête d’Alsace trails.
Accounts and conduct
Users must provide accurate details, protect credentials and respect other participants and visited places.
Geolocation
GPS-mode trails require your browser’s geolocation permission. Without it, only the paper roadbook mode remains usable to progress through the trail.
Safety
Participants remain responsible for their movements. A phone must never be handled while driving. Minors participate under adult supervision.
Leaderboard and fair play
When a game is linked to an event access code, the team name and score are visible to other teams taking part in the same event through the live leaderboard. Users agree not to falsify their location, answers or photos to gain points unduly; CADENIA may cancel points obtained fraudulently.
Content and availability
Scores are recreational. CADENIA may correct, interrupt or remove a trail.
Rights over submitted photos
By submitting a photo as part of a challenge, the user allows CADENIA to store it and show it to their team members and the game master team, solely to validate the game. It is not reused for commercial purposes without the author’s separate consent.
Termination
Users may request deletion of their account at any time at contact@enquetes-alsace.com, under the terms of the privacy policy. CADENIA may suspend or terminate an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms.
Acceptance
Creating an account requires explicit acceptance of the current terms. Contact: contact@enquetes-alsace.com.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable solution or mediation, the competent French courts will have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules applicable in the consumer’s country of residence within the European Union.
